About Me
Jared was introduced to the art of Indian Club Swinging at Graceland University in Lamoni Iowa. It was under the instruction of one of his advisors, Dr. Edward Thomas, where he was immersed in the philosophy and practice of the art for his entire four-year degree and multiple years after while working as a personal trainer. Jared moved to Chicago in 2013 to pursue his Master’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During all three years, he taught classes in personal fitness and weight training to undergraduates, and every class included Indian Club Swinging. Dozens and classes and labs and hundreds of students pursuing careers in the field of Kinesiology have worked with Jared and learned from his style of teaching. His Masters Capstone project in 2016 was to apply modern motor learning science and principles to his Indian Club instruction. From this project, the Ramer Teaching Method emerged.
